Davis Stepping Stones Workshop

October 19th - November 30th, 2024
Live on Zoom

Beginning steps to the Davis Autism Approach Programme. A 12-hour practical training for parents, educators and therapists.

Are you a dedicated parent, educator, therapist or caregiver tired of seeing your child or student struggle with the challenges that come with autism?

Do you wish you could help them so that their everyday experiences aren’t a source of stress and overwhelm?

Are their challenges of sensory sensitivities, meltdowns, social interactions, and communication barriers causing frustrations and anxiety for you? Are traditional approaches failing to bring about any meaningful change?

If any of these resonate, you’ve come to the right place!

At Davis, our understanding of autism’s unique challenges and strengths stems from the fact that our methods were developed by an autistic genius to assist others like him. This uniqueness is what sets our methods apart, making them truly special and life-changing.

Workshop Presenter

Tessa halliwell

Tessa Halliwell graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1982. After completing a PGCE, she worked as a secondary school science teacher for many years, focusing on developing the curriculum for lower ability sets and researching strategies for those who think differently. She later attained an MA in Education before embarking on a course to retrain as a psychodynamic counsellor.

Her career took a new direction after reading *The Gift of Dyslexia*, which answered many questions and explained much of the behavior she observed in the children she taught. Tessa believes that the Davis programmes have found the key to unlocking learning for those who struggle with traditional methods. She now feels privileged to offer the Davis Autism Approach, working with individuals to nurture the seeds of change in their development. Tessa also provides parent workshops and mentoring, empowering parents to deliver the programme to their loved ones at home.
